About The Position

Best Hospice Care of Texas is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families. As a member of the interdisciplinary hospice team, the Chaplain helps patients and loved ones find comfort, peace, and meaning throughout their hospice journey.

Requirements

• Compassionate, empathetic, and an excellent listener.
• Comfortable supporting individuals from diverse spiritual and cultural backgrounds.
• Experienced in ministry, chaplaincy, pastoral care, or related spiritual support.
• Able to provide comfort and guidance during emotionally sensitive situations.
• Organized, dependable, and committed to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized spiritual and emotional support to patients and families.
• Respect and support diverse religious beliefs, spiritual practices, and personal values.
• Offer compassionate presence, prayer, counseling, and guidance when requested.
• Assist patients and families with end-of-life concerns, grief, and bereavement.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support holistic patient care.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of visits and services.
• Coordinate with community clergy and spiritual resources as appropriate.
