Job Summary Provides spiritual counseling services that support the patient's ability to achieve the goals outlined in the Plan of Care. Spiritual care is delivered in a manner that respects and aligns with the patient's spiritual beliefs, religious preferences, cultural background, customs, and ethnicity. Provides these services under the direction of the physician and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring all care is delivered in accordance with the Agency's established policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, theology, divinity, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
- Master of Divinity
- Experience with Death and Dying
- Understanding of grief response & experience with counseling individuals or groups regarding loss
- Knowledge and commitment to Hospice philosophy
- Valid AZ Drivers License, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
- Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Current CPR Certification & Proof of Negative TB Test
- All Aegis Healthcare employees must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provides spiritual counseling services that support the patient's ability to achieve the goals outlined in the Plan of Care.
- Spiritual care is delivered in a manner that respects and aligns with the patient's spiritual beliefs, religious preferences, cultural background, customs, and ethnicity.
