About The Position

Compassion Hospice is seeking compassionate, dependable PRN Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join their growing hospice team. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families. The coverage area is Southeast Texas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in hospice, home health, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided.
• Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety while following individualized care plans.
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and agency policies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
