About The Position

Big Bend Hospice is looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Hospice Home Care team for Leon County. If you have a heart for serving others and find purpose in providing comfort, dignity, and companionship to patients and families, we'd love to have you on our team. As a Hospice CNA, you'll build meaningful relationships while helping patients remain comfortable in the place they call home.

Requirements

• Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Florida driver's license
• Reliable transportation with current auto insurance
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• One year of recent clinical experience
• Hospice and/or Home Health experience
• Hospice & Palliative Care certification

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Providing comfort measures and emotional support
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safety
• Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Assisting with meals and daily living activities
• Teaching caregivers proper hygiene and comfort techniques
• Ensuring patients have the supplies and equipment they need to remain safe and comfortable at home
• Accurately documenting care provided
