About The Position
Big Bend Hospice is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide hands-on support to hospice patients and help maintain their comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The aide works under the supervision of a licensed nurse and supports patients and caregivers with comfort-focused care. The position serves Bay, Gulf, Calhoun, Washington, Jackson, and Holmes counties, with the posting also identifying Blountstown and Panama City, Florida. It is full-time, offers $21.00 per hour, involves travel, and has a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule.
Requirements
- Active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff.
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs.
- Support patients with elimination and activities of daily living.
- Follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
- Educate and support patients and caregivers regarding comfort-focused care needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Provide compassionate care consistent with the hospice philosophy.
