About The Position

Hospice of Wichita Falls is seeking compassionate Hospice Aides, C.N.A. to join their Homecare Team. The organization has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area for over 40 years, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. They offer premier care while honoring patient wishes in various settings including private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and a free-standing 12-bed inpatient center. Requirements

• Recipient of a current Certificate of Nurse Aide
• Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/and problems of terminally ill patients.
• Possess critical thinking skills.
• Compassionate
• Effective Communication both written and orally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive provision or assistance with personal care, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting, as part of the total plan of care.
• Communicate with an assigned RN for direction on the best manner to provide care.
• Share daily activities and patient care details with the assigned RN.
• Communicate any changes or updates of the patient's conditions to the team.
• Document care provided as it is given, ensuring the documentation paints a clear picture of the patient for other team members.
• Focus on the patient's greatest need and provide "Care, Hope, and Support for all when Illness Threatens Life."
• Take time with all patients to provide extra loving care.
