About The Position

Residential Home Health and Hospice is hiring an After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospice position providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Kansas City, MO and Leawood, KS area. This position is eligible for a $10,000 first year success bonus. The role involves delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, responding to after-hours and on-call patient needs, supporting patients and families during critical times, and utilizing clinical judgment for care coordination and documentation. The position requires travel to patient homes within the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse, RN license in the state you work
• Two years of RN experience and the clinical expertise to deliver quality patient care
• Current driver’s license and ability to spend ~20% of your day driving to/from patient locations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• Respond to after-hours and on-call patient needs by performing urgent assessments, managing symptoms and pain, and providing compassionate end-of-life support in real time
• Support and guide patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and crisis situations, ensuring they feel informed, reassured, and cared for throughout the hospice journey
• Apply strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to coordinate care needs, respond to changing patient conditions, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation
• Work independently, but never alone
• Travel to patient homes within assigned territory
