About The Position

The Hood Technician inspects and lubricates customers’ vehicles in a quick, thorough, professional, and efficient manner. The role follows and promotes the company mission and core values while contributing to the success of the functional team. Work is performed at a production-rate pace, allowing customers to remain in their vehicles when work is completed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is desired but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work Saturdays.
• Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including prolonged standing, stooping, and bending; exerting specified levels of force; and working at a production-rate pace involving constant pushing and/or pulling of materials.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete work accurately and quickly while allowing customers to remain in their vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspections.
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs that may be needed.
• Advise the service consultant or technician about additional work.
• Inspect power steering reservoir and transmission fluid levels.
• Inspect belts, hoses, and wiper blades.
• Check tire air pressure.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
