About The Position

Impact Fire Services is seeking a Hood Cleaning Technician to clean commercial exhaust systems as scheduled. The Technician is responsible for complying with the standards of NFPA 96 and the safety standards set by Impact Fire Hood and Duct. This role requires providing accurate, timely reports and before/after pictures of all cleanings to management. The Technician must also maintain a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensure a safe environment for themselves, co-workers, and customers. The position is based out of the Hudson, NH location and is searching for both Licensed Hood Cleaning Technicians and Entry Level Hood Cleaning Apprentice/Helpers.

Requirements

  • A flexible work availability, including weekends and overnight shifts.
  • Comfort with working with chemicals and high-pressure equipment.
  • Excellent selling, communications, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
  • MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Obtain any licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes.
  • Massachusetts Hood Cleaning License is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage their time to complete the maximum amount of service calls while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Achieve any weekly productivity goals assigned by the Hood and Duct Scheduling Manager.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment.
  • Power wash commercial kitchen exhaust systems to include hoods, duct work, filters and exhaust fans per company and industry standards while protecting customers’ facility and equipment from damage.
  • Meet the cleaning standards as outlined in NFPA 96.
  • Report results of work completed as well as pictures in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal protective equipment.
  • Perform and other tasks assigned by the Hood and Duct Scheduling Manager or the Hood and Duct Manager.
