About The Position

BestLogic Staffing is searching for an experienced Honing Technician / Precision ID Machinist to join one of our valued manufacturing clients. Requirements

1+ years of honing or precision machining experience
Experience working with extremely tight tolerances
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Strong understanding of machining practices, shop mathematics, and metal properties
Experience using precision measuring equipment
Excellent attention to detail and quality

Nice To Haves

Experience with SUNNEN honing equipment
Lapping experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
Continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual honing machines
Produce components to extremely tight tolerances (up to 0.0001–0.0002")
Hone aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics, and specialty alloys
Select proper honing stones, abrasives, tooling, and fixtures
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
Verify quality, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet production goals
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
