About The Position

Alvéole is looking for individuals interested in bees and producing local urban honey to fill positions on their honey extraction and production team in Denver for the 2026 beekeeping season. As an Extraction and Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for handling the uncapping and extraction of honey frames, operating extraction, bottling, and labeling equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, packaging finished honey products for shipping, tracking inventory levels, collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines, and monitoring product quality and adherence to food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with hands-on work in a warehouse environment, including heavy lifting (up to 50lbs), operating mechanical equipment, and working in varying temperatures.
  • Experience in product assembly, food processing, or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operate mechanical and automated equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with the reality of warehouse beekeeping hazards (stings, heavy lifting, hot indoor temperatures, etc.).
  • Heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with agriculture or farming, particularly in beekeeping or honey extraction processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the uncapping and extraction of honey frames, ensuring each frame is processed according to Alvéole’s procedures.
  • Operate honey extraction, bottling, and labeling equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Maintain a standardized work environment by regularly cleaning and organizing extraction and production areas to maintain a safe and hygienic work space.
  • Box, palletize, and wrap finished honey products for shipping to ensure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Help track and monitor inventory levels by consistent and accurate data entry into Alvéole’s internal data tools.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Stay informed about the season’s deadlines (Nov 1) and take accountability for meeting them.
  • Ensure all tasks and processes are completed in a timely manner to align with the season's final product shipment deadline.
  • Monitor the consistency and quality of honey products, ensuring all items meet Alvéole’s standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of the extraction, packaging, and warehouse operations.
  • Complete all other warehouse/production duties as needed or as requested by supervision.
