About The Position

This position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality. The role involves ensuring consistency on all doughs by proper scaling and time and temperature control according to production standards. The operator must maintain the production schedule by mixing dough efficiently and getting it to the dividers on time to maintain production flow. Responsibilities include maintaining records of dough mixing times and temperatures, ensuring cleanliness of the work area, and complying with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules. The role also involves performing other duties as directed by supervision and ensuring compliance with EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, and Sarbanes Oxley policies.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 16 hours as applicable on a daily basis.
  • Ability to exert force necessary to move wheeled container weighing up to 500 lbs a distance of 300 feet.
  • Ability to routinely stoop, bend and lift 50 lbs. of ingredients to a table 36 inches high, and from table to mixer 54 inches high.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record necessary information applicable to job.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and distinctly in English in person or via telephone and on paging device.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of production experience as a helper
  • Six months basic knowledge of mixer procedures and mixer operator.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
