About The Position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Well, we pump peanut butter into your jar, and the oil in your car. We glue the soles of your shoes, the glass in your windows and the screen on your phone. We spray the finish on your vehicle, coatings on your pills, the paint on your house and texture on your walls. Graco is part of your daily life. Safely operate honing machinery to produce parts that meet Graco quality requirements at the lowest cost in a timely manner.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Basic Math
Basic Blueprint
Measurement Skills for manufacturing
Ability to inspect own work to conformance of specifications with limited technical assistance
Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts which might cause injury to self, others, or environment
Mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

Operate and adjust honing equipment. Includes hand honing, ball lapping, vertical and horizontal honing, as well as power stroke hone and flat lapper
Responsible for conformance of parts produced to blueprint specifications, including in-process inspection
Responsible for reading and understanding operation layouts, job packets and complicated blueprint drawings (this includes geometric tolerancing)
Provides accurate inventory counts and ensures accurate use of labor reporting system
Participate in QAT and problem-solving to continually improve
Maintains a clean and safe work station and immediately reports accidents or unsafe conditions to supervisor
Works as a team member to aid all shifts towards achieving efficiency and customer service levels.
Responsible for maintaining supplies required to efficiently operate the hones and other equipment assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
