Hone Operator:
· Sets up and operates all precision honing equipment with the exception of the super hone for production, experimental, and tool work.
· Selects proper speeds, feeds and stones. Holds work to required tolerances.
· Set-ups are exacting usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks.
· Works from blueprints or specific written or verbal instructions and is required to check work to required tolerances.
· Determines correct procedures to follow, devises methods of honing non-routine parts or assemblies, and makes effective recommendations for improvements in procedures and practices.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of precision (tolerances less than .0005) manufacturing machine shop honing or grinding experience including setup.
• This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
