About The Position

Havenpark Communities is seeking a hands-on Home Technician to be the on-the-ground hero of their community. This role is directly responsible for the comfort, safety, and happiness of residents, involving a variety of repair and maintenance tasks. The Home Technician is the go-to expert who keeps the community running smoothly, diagnosing and solving issues from leaky faucets to faulty electrical outlets, acting as a trusted neighbor and a vital part of the Havenpark promise.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
General knowledge and skills in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repair.
Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge, particularly email, and the ability to create legible written reports.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Availability for on-call rotation as needed during non-business hours.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of minor repairs in homes and facilities, including general plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
Inspect and repair common area amenities like laundry facilities and playground equipment.
Prepare vacant homes for new residents by performing necessary strap-downs and general upkeep.
Maintain the overall cleanliness and beauty of the community by partnering with the grounds team.
Assist with seasonal tasks such as lawn care, trash collection, and snow removal.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Represent Havenpark with professionalism in all interactions.
