About The Position

Abode Money is the first-ever AI financial home manager, using AI to save homeowners on property taxes, insurance, mortgage and more. Homeowners spend $2T+ per year on their home. Not only is it difficult to buy a home today, but it’s become just as challenging to continue owning your home. We’re going to be the first to create a relationship with 80M+ homeowners in the US by saving them money year after year. Requirements

Active or recent P&C license.
Experience holding or supporting agency licensure across multiple states.
Personal experience standing up or running an independent agency, including carrier appointments and an aggregator or cluster relationship.
Hands-on experience selecting and implementing an agency management system and comparative rater.
Recent operating experience to ensure advice reflects current carrier and aggregator behavior.
Written disclosure of any compensation received from aggregators, carriers, AMS vendors, or data providers.

Expertise in current aggregators and systems that break at volume.

Responsibilities

Provide know-how on agency structure and licensing, including entity setup, DRLP arrangement, and sequencing multi-state licensing.
Guide aggregator and carrier strategy, including which aggregator to sign, which carriers to pursue first, and how to handle carriers who decline to appoint.
Make vendor decisions for AMS, comparative rater, and data providers, identifying incorrect choices before implementation.
Shape the referral to agency transition, outlining how to move from affiliate economics to owning the book without disrupting the customer experience.
Design the operating model, including servicing at volume, staffing ratios, and retention expectations.
Set compliance guardrails regarding what can be communicated before appointments are secured.
Pressure-test the plan by reviewing assumptions and identifying potential errors.
