About The Position

Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas is a 5-Star not-for-profit continuing care retirement community that offers long-term care, assisted living, and sub-acute rehabilitation. We are searching for a caring and dedicated Homemaker to join our excellent team of employees with a passion for caring for seniors. The Homemaker performs dining services, housekeeping, laundry, and activity-related duties in order to enhance the resident's quality of life, so the resident can remain as independent as possible.

Requirements

Ability to work holidays and weekends as assigned.
Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
Able to meet the physical requirements of the job: Occasional maximum lift of 40 lbs.; Frequent maximum lift of 20 lbs.; Occasional maximum carry of 40 lbs. for a distance of 100 feet; Frequent maximum carry of <30 lbs. for a distance of 300 feet; Occasional maximum horizontal push/pull force of 40 lbs.; Frequent maximum horizontal push/pull force of 15 lbs.; Maximum occasional vertical pull and downward push of 15 lbs.; Maximum frequent grip of 20 lbs.; Maximum frequent pinch of 3 lbs.; Occasional climb of varying heights; Frequent bend; Frequent crouch/kneel; Frequent forward reach; Frequent overhead reach; Frequent trunk rotation; Frequent neck extension; Frequent neck flexion, lateral flexion and rotation; Frequent balance; Continuous standing/walking; Frequent sitting.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Six months of experience in a housekeeping, laundry, or dietary position in a Long Term Care setting is preferred.
