About The Position
Join WesleyLife and Help Revolutionize the Aging Experience! This role involves preparing meals for residents, team members, and guests, with flexibility required for meal prepping, serving in the health center, and clean-up. The Homemaker Cook will ensure food is presented appealingly and healthily, build meaningful relationships with residents and staff, and maintain food safety and cleanliness in the health center and main kitchen. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalency required.
- Minimum of one year cooking experience.
- Ability to speak, write and understand English language
- Attendance is an essential function
Nice To Haves
- Culinary education is preferred
- Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred
- SERV Safe certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals for residents, team members and guests
- Remain flexible during all working hours. This position will float between prepping meals, as well as serving in our health center and clean up
- Assure food is presented in a manner that is appealing as well as healthy
- Build meaningful relationships with our residents and staff
- Maintaining food safety and cleanliness of the health center and main kitchen
- Completes other duties and assists with special projects as assigned or requested
