About The Position
Right at Home Northwest Oklahoma City is looking for compassionate and dependable team members to provide Homemaker Companion and in-home care services to clients in our community. As a Homemaker Companion, you will help clients with everyday activities, provide meaningful companionship, and maintain a clean, comfortable living environment. If you have previous experience in caregiving, senior care, home care, or companion care, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Homemaker Companion or in a similar role
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Current and valid driver’s license, with the ability to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with applicable laws
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Homemaker Companion, Caregiver, Home Care Companion, Personal Care Aide, or similar role is preferred.
- Compassion, patience, dependability, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and respect client privacy.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to clients’ homes, as required.
- Ability to complete required onboarding and training.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful social interaction.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping living areas organized.
- Prepare simple meals and assist with meal planning as appropriate.
- Provide reminders for medications according to the client’s care plan and company policies.
- Assist clients with errands and everyday activities, as authorized.
- Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or routine.
- Follow established care plans and company procedures.
