About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Homemaker/Companion to provide essential support to seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. In this role, you will build meaningful relationships with clients, making a positive impact on their daily lives. You will assist with homemaking activities, provide companionship, and help with meal preparation and grocery shopping. We offer a supportive work environment with opportunities for training and development, and we provide necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• Must have successfully completed a written Competency Evaluation.
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to lift at least __ with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the client with homemaking activities, such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Spending less than 20% of the work shift on general household work.
• Providing companionship during activities such as accompanying client on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and assistance with hobbies.
• Preparing meals and running to the grocery store.
• Providing care for a vulnerable population of seniors and adults with disabilities.
