The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a manager to join the Office of Housing Stability to oversee the Bureau of Prevention, Homeless Prevention Unit. This position serves as full line supervisor, with duties and responsibilities as follow: Manages and implements existing and/or new program policies, procedures, and program objectives/goals to promote compliance with state and federal mandates as delineated in the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)/Division of Family and Community Services (DFCS) Grantmaking Manual, Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA), and Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act; reviews, analyzes, and generates written reports regarding proposed and/or existing legislation, statutes, best practices, and/or administrative rules as it relates to the unit; facilitates routine onsite and/or virtual meetings (WebEx) and /or training sessions with grantees and other pertinent internal and external entities to discuss and share information about effective program design and deliverables, (policies & procedures, schedules, service delivery etc.; in the absence of the Bureau Chief, oversees other Bureau programs and staff; and creates, monitors, maintains, implements and/or resolves issues associated with required data systems to access, generate, and disseminate data and documentation for internal and external entities regarding the unit programs. Represents IDHS/DFCS at internal and external stakeholder meetings, and performs other duties as assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties of the unit.
