About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a growing home care branch supporting approximately 60 personal care clients. This role partners closely with clinical leadership and administrative staff to ensure operational excellence across intake, scheduling, staffing, authorization workflows, caregiver support, compliance, and service delivery. This role requires a highly autonomous and hands-on leader who can effectively manage competing priorities, improve operational workflows, support a newer team, and help drive census growth while maintaining quality care and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership or operational management experience, preferably in home care, healthcare, or a related setting
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid home care operations and regulations preferred
  • Experience leading teams through operational change, growth, or stabilization strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead with minimal oversight
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • RN background preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily home care operations including intake, scheduling, staffing, authorizations, caregiver support, and service delivery
  • Implement and improve workflows between intake, authorization, scheduling, and clinical operations
  • Ensure operational processes are organized, efficient, and compliant
  • Monitor billable hours, scheduling efficiency, and SOC-related operational metrics
  • Help drive branch growth while maintaining high-quality client care and service delivery
  • Lead and support administrative office staff and field caregivers
  • Assist with onboarding, cross-training, coaching, and performance management
  • Help stabilize and strengthen a newer team environment through accountability, communication, and operational structure
  • Partner with HR and recruiting on staffing needs and onboarding support
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, EVV requirements, payer expectations, and company policies
  • Support visit verification and operational quality assurance activities
  • Assist with operational audits, process improvement initiatives, and issue resolution
  • Partner closely with clinical leadership to ensure continuity of care and operational readiness
  • Support relationships with referral sources, community partners, and payers
  • Collaborate with leadership to support census growth and operational goals
  • Assist with integration efforts, process improvements, and branch development initiatives as needed
