About The Position

Hospice of Wichita Falls is seeking compassionate Hospice Aides, C.N.A. to join their Homecare Team. The organization has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area for 41 years, serving 12 North Texas counties. They provide services in private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and a freestanding inpatient center. Their goal is to provide premier care while honoring patient wishes. Hospice of Wichita Falls emphasizes teamwork, communication, and respect in its working environment.

Requirements

• Recipient of a current Certificate of Nurse Aide
• Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/and problems of terminally ill patients in a home setting.
• Possess critical thinking skills.
• Compassionate
• Effective Communication both written and orally.

Responsibilities

• Provide provision or assistance with personal care as part of the total plan of care, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
• Communicate with an assigned RN for direction on the best manner to provide care.
• Share daily activities and patient care provided to the assigned RN.
• Communicate any changes or updates of the patients' conditions to the team.
• Document care as it is provided to paint a picture of the patient for other team members.
• Focus on the patient's greatest need and providing 'Care, Hope, and Support for all when Illness Threatens Life.'
