Home Visitor, Early Childhood Program, Lorain County - Full-Time & Flexible
About The Position
Catholic Charities is seeking mission-driven candidates to join our Help Me Grow Program as a Home Visitor. In this role, you will work with pregnant mothers, caregivers, and their children (0-5) to promote healthy child development and positive interactions between caregiver and child. This position is responsible for engaging families who have been referred to the program; completing home visits, conducting screenings, facilitating parenting education, and making referrals to other resources. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a High School Diploma and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience working with or providing direct service to children and families

Responsibilities
- Complete required Home Visitor credential certificate training. Provided by Catholic Charities.
- Build relationships with families to assess their strengths and needs.
- Connect families to community resources.
- Participate in ongoing recruitment outreach activities and events to promote programming and engagement of families.
- Accurately document in a state-wide database of services provided including billing.
- Regularly attend professional development trainings and meetings.
