About The Position

We are looking for an Environmental Sales Consultant to join our team. This field‑based role drives revenue growth within the environmental services sector by developing new business, conducting on‑site assessments, and presenting radon mitigation solutions that reduce environmental health risks. The position is base salary plus commission w/ uncapped earning potential, rewarding strong performance, relationship‑building, and successful project acquisition. Essential Functions Generate new business across residential, commercial, and real‑estate markets within the environmental health and indoor air quality space. Conduct outside sales visits to assess client needs, explain radon risks, and recommend mitigation solutions aligned with environmental best practices. Present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales to meet or exceed revenue goals. Build and maintain relationships with environmental consultants, home inspectors, real estate professionals, and property managers to expand referral networks. Manage a robust sales pipeline and maintain consistent follow‑up with prospective clients. Field Assessments & Solution Scoping You will perform on-site evaluations to understand building conditions, environmental risk factors, and mitigation requirements. Translate field findings into accurate scopes of work and cost estimates. Ensure proposed solutions align with industry standards, state regulations, and environmental health guidelines. Customer Education & Environmental Stewardship Communicate the health aspects of radon exposure and the value of mitigation as part of environmental risk reduction. Clearly explain system design, installation expectations, and long-term benefits. Serve as a trusted advisor on indoor air quality concerns. Collaboration & Project Support Coordinate with installation teams to ensure jobs are scoped accurately and achievable. Maintain strong communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle. Provide insights to improve environmental service delivery and customer experience. Track sales activity and contribute to continuous improvement of service processes. Track sales activity, follow up on leads, and contribute to continuous improvement in environmental service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate efficiently with multiple moving parts and various levels of management and team members.
  • Ability to work within and meet established deadlines.
  • Highly organized and advanced detail-orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • 1+ plus year construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience, or building maintenance.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • NRPP certification for radon mitigation, or ability to obtain this certification within established timeline upon hire.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, or in a vehicle.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
  • Daily local travel required.
  • Experience in outside sales, environmental services, construction, or building science.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain environmental risks and technical concepts in accessible terms.
  • Ability to conduct field assessments, interpret building layouts, and identify mitigation pathways.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field‑based role.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Knowledge of radon mitigation, indoor air quality, or environmental health (preferred but not required).
