About The Position

The Home Medical Equipment Coordinator ensures every patient receives exceptional customer service and high-quality home medical equipment that enhances their health and wellbeing. The Home Medical Equipment Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to Lakewood Health System Medical Marketplace customers by coordinating patient intake, insurance authorizations, order processing, and follow-up communications. This role requires strong knowledge of medical equipment and supplies to educate patients on safe and effective use. The coordinator ensures accurate documentation and insurance claims, collaborates with providers and internal teams, and supports retail store operations while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach.

Requirements

  • Experience with home medical equipment
  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Respect for confidentiality and professional integrity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
