About The Position

Collect and review loan documents to satisfy loan conditions, ensure completeness of home loan documentation to satisfy all underwriting conditions and maintain contact with member throughout the processing period. May converse with Spanish speaking members throughout the home loan process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One (1) year lending, processing, or quality assurance experience.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Home loan experience
  • Bilingual ability preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing residential home loan lending including but not limited to HMDA, RESPA, REG Z and ECOA Compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with members and all parties throughout the home loan process.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with members during processing including answering member inquiries and notifying them of any additional information required in a timely manner.
  • Gather, review and ensure all loan conditions set by underwriting have been met in a timely manner.
  • Order and ensure receipt on third party documentation such as title work, home loan payoff, verification of employments, collateral protection insurance and residential appraisal in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and deliver home loan disclosures to home loan applicants in a timely manner ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluates AUS findings and request documentation from borrowers.
  • Order and review closing package for accuracy prior to delivering to home loan originator or Title Company.
  • Submit quality files that comply with Agency and Investor Guidelines.
  • Ensure funding is completed accurately, all third-party services have been satisfied and all controlled disbursements have been resolved.
  • Works independently and manage personal pipeline to ensure deadlines and production goals are met.
  • Determine any deviation from standard processing time and take appropriate actions including notifying the manager for alternatives to ensure timely service.
  • Knowledgeable of lending procedures and credit union guidelines.
  • Support credit union services by answering general home loan inquiries and providing information on home loan programs.
  • Cross sell all credit union services.
  • All other duties as assigned.
