About The Position
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, instructs patients and families in infusion therapy administration, and delivers direct patient care as required.
Requirements
- RN license
Responsibilities
- Conducts initial nursing assessments and evaluations to qualify patients for appropriateness and safety of home infusion therapy, along with any other needed specialized nursing care and educational needs
- Trains patients and/or caregivers in all procedures and equipment
- Visits all assigned patients as ordered, and documents client’s compliance
- Provides direct patient care as ordered and allowed by state law
- Inventories patient factor and supplies, informs pharmacy of patient’s needs
- Provides other healthcare workers with feedback on all patients and gives suggestions for changes in procedure/protocols
