This part-time position is for a licensed Registered Nurse providing home infusion services under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse Supervisor. The role includes technical, clerical, clinical, and general infusion nursing tasks. Nurses provide care in patients’ homes, including assessments, IV and port access, medication administration, monitoring, and patient and caregiver education. The position also supports pharmacy operations through quality control, record maintenance, inventory management, and medication-order preparation. The role is based in Richmond, Virginia, and involves travel to patient homes, potentially up to two hours from Richmond. Travel time is included in work hours and compensated at the hourly rate, with mileage paid at $0.48 per mile. The schedule is approximately 20–30 hours per week depending on patient needs and availability; hours are not guaranteed. Compensation is $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience, plus mileage. The nurse administers prescribed specialty medications by IV, subcutaneous, or other appropriate routes; assesses and monitors patients before, during, and after treatment; identifies and reports risks or adverse reactions; provides medication and post-infusion education; and conducts follow-up communications. The nurse documents treatment and patient education, collaborates with nursing and pharmacy staff, follows medication-handling, sterile-technique, and infection-control requirements, monitors supplies, and supports insurance verification and prior authorizations. Nurses with active IgCN certification may be assigned to CSI’s Immunoglobulin Mentorship Program based on operational needs. Assigned mentors support less experienced nurses through coaching, training, observation, competency assessment, and documentation of mentorship activities.
