About The Position

Join Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, part of Evernorth Health Services, as a Home Infusion Registered Nurse and deliver care to patients in their homes. The role involves administering specialty medications, including IV infusions, and building relationships that support positive health outcomes. You will work with pharmacists and care teams, coordinate patient care, maintain accurate records, and use independent clinical judgment. The role is per diem and based in the field in Asheville, North Carolina, with travel across a large geographic region and multiple patient visits per week, including some evenings and weekends as needed.

If working from home occasionally or permanently, an internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with speeds of at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• At least 1 year of experience in critical care, acute care, or home healthcare.
• Proficiency in IV insertion and infusion techniques.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within a large geographic region.
• Ability to complete multiple patient visits per week, including some evenings and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of RN experience in a hospital or home health setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience with specialty pharmacy or infusion therapy programs.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively administer specialty medications, including IV infusions, in patients’ homes.
• Partner with pharmacists and care teams to support patients’ overall well-being.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient updates and care coordination.
• Use autonomous clinical decision-making to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Complete multiple patient visits per week, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Travel within a large geographic region.
