Weekend Admission Home Health RN (Part-Time) - Pittsburgh, PA
About The Position
Anova Health Care Service is hiring a part-time Weekend Admission RN serving patients across the Pittsburgh region. This role is designed to offer a better work-life balance by focusing work on the weekends only, allowing weekdays to be free for other pursuits. Unlike traditional home health roles, this position emphasizes focused admission visits without the burden of an ongoing caseload or the pressure of constant visits. You will complete the initial assessments and set the plan of care in motion, with the weekday team taking over subsequent care. Support is provided through a full interdisciplinary team and clinical leadership.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania RN license and current CPR certification
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- Strong assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfort working independently and managing your own visits
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Home health or admissions experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete the full physical assessment and patient history for new admissions (3-6 per weekend)
- Develop the initial plan of care, establishing goals based on your nursing diagnosis
- Coordinate with physicians to obtain and receive orders as required
- Educate patients and families on their care and what to expect
- Ensure equipment and necessary services are arranged and in place
- Document each admission clearly and on time
