About The Position

AdvisaCare is seeking skilled Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for full-time or part-time positions to provide high-quality home health care in the Greater Muskegon and surrounding areas. The role involves providing care and service to patients, with a focus on a holistic and patient-driven approach. Responsibilities include performing various nursing tasks such as wound care (including Wound Vacs, Drains, Tubes, Ostomies, Traches, Catheters, Plurex drains), infusions, and LVADs. The position also involves patient and caregiver education, and coordination with the home health team. The company offers training for advanced skills and OASIS training for exceptional candidates.

Requirements

• Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Minimum one (1) year of Home Health nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care to and communicate with all ages of the population.
• Updated Tuberculin (TB) test.
• Current CPR certification.
• Clear Criminal History/Drug Screen.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor, with a professional presentation at all times.
• Ability to travel within service area of AdvisaCare (approximately a 30 mile radius from your home).
• Critical thinking, task competence and the ability to think on your feet.

Nice To Haves

• OASIS Experienced Registered Nurse preferred.
• Oasis training available for an exceptional candidate with the right skill set.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and service to patients in their homes.
• Perform wound care, including Wound Vacs, Drains, Tubes, All Ostomies, Traches, Catheters, Plurex drains, Infusions and LVADs.
• Provide one-on-one education to patients and their caregivers.
• Coordinate with all members of the Home Health Team.
• Travel within the service area of AdvisaCare (approximately a 30-mile radius from home).
