What We Offer: Competitive Pay & Benefits The Flexibility You Deserve Supportive Team Environment Meaningful One-on-One Patient Care Physical Therapy Assistant – Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Provides direct physical therapy services under the direction of a qualified Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care, as defined by the state Physical Therapy Practice Act. Treats patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance. Assists patients with active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training. Utilizes physical agents including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage. Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and appropriate organization personnel. Instructs patients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices. Maintains timely and accurate clinical documentation, including clinical and conference notes, in accordance with agency guidelines. Participates in Home Care Team meetings and in-service education programs. Performs other related duties as assigned. Position Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate’s degree in science or applied science approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Current state certification or license as required by law. Current CPR certification. Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills. Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile in accordance with organization requirements.
