About The Position

CVHCare, a leader in Home Health Clinical services, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health Care Agency. This role offers the freedom to utilize your skills and imagination within an established leader in the California home health industry. The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services and care to patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist and according to the physician’s plan of care. Responsibilities include administering exercises, instruction, therapeutic methods such as electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and ultrasound, massage, and gait and balance training. The PTA will also record patient responses to treatment and report outcomes to the Physical Therapist.

Requirements

One year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant required
Current CA Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
Reliable Transportation and auto insurance
Valid California Driver License
CPR Certification
Must be able to attend one week of orientation and training

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy services and care to patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist and according to the physician’s plan of care.
Administer exercise, instruction, and therapeutic methods like electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and ultrasound.
Perform massage and gait and balance training.
Record the patient's responses to treatment.
Report the outcome of treatment to the Physical Therapist.
