Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Location: Wayne, Detroit, Canton, Monroe, and Romulus, MI Love your job at last! Join one of the most progressive rehabilitation teams in Michigan. As a Home Health PTA, you will work directly with patients in their homes, playing a critical role in restoring mobility and enhancing quality of life under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the State of Michigan.
  • Home Health experience preferred (but not required).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to patient homes within the assigned service area (Wayne, Detroit, Canton, Monroe, Romulus).
  • Strong documentation and time management skills.
  • Empathy and compassion for patients in recovery.
  • Ability to motivate patients through treatment plans.
  • Focus on evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
  • Professionalism and superior listening skills.
  • Confident, reliable, and resourceful.
  • An excellent communicator who connects with patients personally.
  • Independent yet capable of collaborating within a supportive team.

Nice To Haves

  • Home Health experience preferred (but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide skilled interventions (mobility, strength, balance) in patient homes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home programs.
  • Accurately document progress and communicate status with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines.
