As a Home Health PTA, you will work directly with patients in their homes, playing a critical role in restoring mobility and enhancing quality of life under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the State of Michigan.
- Home Health experience preferred (but not required).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel to patient homes within the assigned service area (Wayne, Detroit, Canton, Monroe, Romulus).
- Strong documentation and time management skills.
- Empathy and compassion for patients in recovery.
- Ability to motivate patients through treatment plans.
- Focus on evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
- Professionalism and superior listening skills.
- Confident, reliable, and resourceful.
- An excellent communicator who connects with patients personally.
- Independent yet capable of collaborating within a supportive team.
Nice To Haves
- Home Health experience preferred (but not required).
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide skilled interventions (mobility, strength, balance) in patient homes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home programs.
- Accurately document progress and communicate status with the healthcare team.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines.
