About The Position

PARS Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Houston, Texas, to support patients throughout their recovery. The role helps restore mobility, improve functional independence, and enhance quality of life through personalized care integrating prevention, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation. The therapy team provides compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs to help them regain independence and thrive in daily life.

The PTA delivers physical therapy services in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care. The position develops and carries out individualized care plans, educates and motivates patients, monitors progress, documents services, and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Texas.
• Current CPR certification.
• Professional liability insurance coverage.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary care team.
• Clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt care approaches to different patient personalities.
• Solid understanding of current treatment techniques and therapy practices.
• Professional and compassionate approach to educating and engaging with patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services in the home under a licensed Physical Therapist’s supervision and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care.
• Assist in identifying patient goals and implement interventions to address functional and mobility needs.
• Provide evidence-based, cost-effective treatments that promote movement and independence.
• Support alternatives to surgery and reduce reliance on medications through therapeutic interventions.
• Develop and carry out individualized care plans using proven treatment techniques.
• Create wellness and fitness programs tailored to each patient’s condition and goals.
• Educate and motivate patients to participate in rehabilitation and recovery.
• Promote health by improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist and care team.
• Accurately document services and maintain timely, complete patient records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising therapist or clinical manager.
