About The Position

Join Our Team We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional patient care throughout the Las Vegas area. In this role, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver individualized therapy services that help patients improve mobility, regain independence, and achieve their functional goals in the comfort of their own homes.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and unrestricted Nevada Physical Therapist Assistant license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Minimum of one year of PTA experience, preferably in home health, outpatient, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned service areas.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous home health experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare documentation and home health regulations.
  • Experience working independently and managing a patient caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions as outlined in the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and mobility programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety techniques, fall prevention, and proper body mechanics.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Support patients in achieving maximum functional independence and quality of life.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, agency, and professional standards, including APTA guidelines and state licensing requirements.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide patient-centered care that respects individual needs and preferences.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
