About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric patient in the home setting. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and thrive in a private-duty environment. The patient is a 3-year-old with a history of traumatic brain injury (TBI), who is blind and non-verbal. The role involves providing skilled nursing care during 12-hour overnight shifts, managing tube feedings, caring for a Mickey Button (G-tube), monitoring for seizure activity, implementing aspiration precautions, and ensuring patient safety. Accurate nursing documentation and effective communication with family and the clinical team are essential.

Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• Knowledge of seizure management and aspiration precautions
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 55 pounds
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Nice To Haves

• Experience with G-tubes/Mickey Buttons preferred
• Strong pediatric nursing experience
• Confident providing specialized care to medically complex pediatric patients
• Ability to deliver compassionate, family-centered care

Responsibilities
