About The Position
Join Puget Sound Home Health as an Occupational Therapist! We are looking for passionate individuals dedicated to providing quality patient care in our Home Health division. This full-time role offers one-on-one patient time, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to expand your skills and experience by working in patients' home settings. You will build rewarding relationships and have higher earning potential than traditional facility positions.
Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in Washington state (or before your first day of work)
- One to two years of experience as a Occupational Therapist
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care through functional assessments, identification of performance deficits, and development of client‑centered treatment plans in home health settings.
- Develop and implement individualized OT care plans focused on improving ADLs, IADLs, safety, participation, and environmental adaptations.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, compensatory strategies, energy conservation, home exercise/engagement programs, and safe use of adaptive equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care, effective communication, and safe discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, functional outcomes, and clinical reasoning while adhering to professional OT standards and medical terminology.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy, particularly in home health, geriatrics, functional rehabilitation, and aging‑in‑place strategies.
