About The Position

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to home health residents/clients in their home environment, as delegated by the Occupational Therapist, to promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Adheres to plans of care, implements interventions, and collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal outcomes in compliance with physician orders, state practice acts, and federal and state home health regulations. This is an in-house program within a welcoming, slower-paced community environment that delivers holistic care with a strong focus on prevention. We offer specialized on-site training delivered during paid work hours, with some sessions eligible for CEUs. You will have access to state-of-the-art rehab gyms and equipment. This role provides an opportunity to build relationships by following residents across the full continuum of care, including inpatient, home health, outpatient, and fitness services. Clinically driven, patient-centered treatment decisions guide all programs and care plans. Cross training is provided to support all rehabilitation areas within our communities. There is limited travel within and between our private communities. Due to our company being a non-profit organization, student loan forgiveness is available after 10 years!

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant program
  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for license in the state(s) where services are rendered
  • This position requires compliance with Florida's Care Provider Background Screening process.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in home health is preferred
