About The Position

BrightStar Care of Santa Barbara County and West Ventura County is dedicated to providing a higher standard of care that empowers patients to live well at every stage of life. Our professional team, led by our Director of Nursing, delivers compassionate and expert care, ensuring that patients and their families receive the healthcare they need. LVN Shifts available: Daily 8hr shifts from 8am-4pm PRN suctioning Nebulizer treatments Oral medication administration Hoyer lift Mechanical wheelchair (he controls with chin) ADLs and iADLs

Requirements

  • Current California LVN license in good standing
  • At least 1yr experience preferred
  • Experience with quadriplegic, hoyer lift
  • Confident with Trach care, Ventilator and Straight Catheters
  • Proficiency in medication administration and management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Reliability and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to commit long term
  • Experience handling behavioral challenges with professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility support.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation of patient progress and interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
