About The Position
Our client a well-founded home health care agency, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide to assist clients in their homes with daily living activities and basic health-related services. The ideal candidate will help promote independence, safety, and overall well-being in a respectful and supportive manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of proven experience in home care or a similar role.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist clients up to 25 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required for certain tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program is preferred.
- Current HHA certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Prepare and serve meals following dietary guidelines.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands as needed.
- Monitor and record changes in the client's condition or behavior.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications (no administration).
- Follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
