About The Position

Purpose Care is seeking qualified, dependable, honest, and reliable Home Health Aides, PCAs, DSPs, and CNA Caregivers to join their family and provide care for clients. The role involves one-on-one support in homes and communities, focusing on personal care, daily living needs, and making a positive impact on patients' lives. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, patient, service-driven, and seeking meaningful work with flexible opportunities. Licensed HHAs/CNAs are encouraged to apply, and motivated candidates willing to become certified are also welcome. The work directly supports patient quality of life and provides peace of mind to families.

Requirements

  • Age 18 or older
  • Active HHA or CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments
  • Ability to follow written care instructions and document services
  • Compassion, patience, and professionalism with vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work independently in home settings
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to complete TB testing, background screening, and onboarding requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ months of caregiving or direct patient care experience
  • Home health or home care experience
  • CPR and Adult First Aid certification
  • Experience supporting seniors or medically complex clients
  • Experience working with dementia or memory care patients

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises per care plan
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
  • Support medication self-administration through reminders (no independent med administration)
  • Monitor and report patient condition and changes to the supervising nurse
  • Take and record basic vital signs when trained and assigned
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment
  • Assist with linens and light client laundry as appropriate
  • Use safety equipment properly (rails, supports, stools, etc.)
  • Document care provided according to company and regulatory standards
  • Travel reliably to patient homes and assigned visits across your service area
  • Complete required in-service training, including annual dementia education
