About The Position
Provides direct care and assistance to patients in their homes, consistent with specific written instructions provided by professional case managers. Care may include bathing, personal hygiene, ambulation, exercise, activities of daily living, medications, nutrition, and environmental and personal care services. The position requires comfort with electronic documentation and communication and allows flexibility in daily scheduling within a supportive team environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Complete Munson Home Care/Hospice’s Aide Skills/Competency Checklist and written Aide Competency Test after hire and before making an independent home visit.
- Employees must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
- Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a 75-hour nurse aide training and competency program, or a state-approved CHA or CENA program.
- Six months of experience as an aide in a home care setting.
Responsibilities
