About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Summit County, Ohio. The start time varies based on your background: STNA license holders can start in 1-3 days, those with an HHA certificate (30+ hours) or 1+ year of supervised experience under an RN or LPN can start in 5-8 days after verification, and individuals new to caregiving will complete a free training program and can start in 1-2 weeks. All paths lead to the same job, clients, and support. The role involves assisting clients, primarily older adults, with daily living activities in their homes, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, and errands. This is a physical role requiring you to be on your feet and assist with client mobility. Home Health Aides do not administer medication or perform medical tasks. The company emphasizes that this is a calling for those who genuinely care about the elderly community, not just a job for a paycheck, and highlights the importance of reliability and commitment due to client dependency. The position is a W-2 job with paid drive time between clients. Raises are performance-based, with opportunities for increases at 90 days, 1 year, and 2 years. Bonuses are available for perfect attendance, referring other Home Health Aides, and referring private pay clients. Clients are matched based on the aide's stated limits regarding pets, smoking, travel distance, days, and times. Shifts can range from 2-3 hours to 8 hours, and aides typically have 2-4 regular clients per week, with opportunities to pick up extra fill-in shifts. "Flexible" refers to the agreed-upon work schedule, not the ability to call off shifts at will. Federal law requires verification of identity and work authorization.
