About The Position
Home Health Aide (HHA) – Per Diem Essex County, NJ Flexible Scheduling | 1:1 Patient Care | Weekly Pay BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide one-on-one home health visits for adult and geriatric clients throughout Essex County, NJ. As a BAYADA Home Health Aide, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping clients maintain their independence and safely remain in the comfort of their own homes. You'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team that values compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification and listed in good standing on the NJ Nurse Aide Registry.
- At least one year of related work experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation for travel between client homes.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Successful completion of the BAYADA Competency Evaluation.
- Criminal background check and compliance with all state requirements.
- A compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Mobility support, transfers, and ambulation assistance
- Range of motion exercises
- Medication reminders and assistance
- Oral feeding and meal preparation
- Monitoring and reporting vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Light housekeeping and home management tasks, including laundry and bed making
- Providing companionship and promoting a safe, comfortable home environment
- Communicating changes in client condition with the care team
