Requirements

High school diploma or GED
At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred
Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide program preferred
Current CPR certification
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
Up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B
Reliable transportation
A charged cell phone
Professional appearance with uniform and ID badge
Dependable attendance and availability

Nice To Haves

At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience
Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide program

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
Provide mobility and transfer assistance
Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
Offer companionship and emotional support
Provide medication reminders
Perform light housekeeping and laundry
Accompany clients to appointments and errands
Observe and report changes in client condition
Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
