About The Position

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide home care to seniors and other participants in the Macungie area of the Lehigh Valley. The company has supported elderly people, people with disabilities, and participants with intellectual disabilities for over 40 years. The role involves providing physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, or disability while treating participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. Home assistance may include light housekeeping, errands, transportation, accompanying clients to appointments, medication assistance and reminders, meal preparation, food shopping, and personal assistance with everyday needs. Personal care may include toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming. The worker also provides companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting the participant. The company offers flexible schedules and part-time or full-time work. Applications and training are completed through a mobile app, and face-to-face meetings are conducted via Zoom. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.

Responsibilities

Provide participants with physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, disability, or other needs.
Treat participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation when needed.
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
Provide personal services such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting participants.
