About The Position

Haven Home Care is seeking Home Health Aides (HHAs) to assist clients, primarily older adults, in their homes. Responsibilities include helping with baths, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, and providing companionship. This role involves physical work, assisting clients with mobility. HHAs do not administer medication or perform medical tasks, as those are reserved for nurses.

Requirements

  • STNA license (active or expired)
  • HHA Certificate holders (30+ hours)
  • 1+ year of experience working under an RN or LPN at a skilled facility or home health agency
  • Driver's license
  • Own car with insurance that covers work driving
  • Pass background checks
  • Work at least 20 hours/week
  • Available between 6AM-8PM
  • Legal right to work in the US
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Willingness to help people (for new to caregiving pathway)
  • Ability to complete free 32-hour online HHA training (at home, 6 days to finish, not paid) (for new to caregiving pathway)
  • Ability to pass the HHA competency test (written and skills) with 80% on both parts (unless STNA or already passed)
  • Ability to show original documents on camera during orientation video call for identity and work authorization verification.

  • Open to working in both Stark and Summit counties for faster start and more hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with baths and getting dressed.
  • Prepare meals for clients.
  • Perform light cleaning in clients' homes.
  • Run errands for clients.
  • Provide companionship to clients.
  • Assist clients with mobility and standing.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Report incidents within 24 hours.
  • Obtain good feedback from clients.
  • Answer office calls and texts promptly.
  • Submit updated documents (insurance, license, training) when requested.
  • Complete feedback forms when sent.
  • Clock in and out using the app or phone.
  • Follow call-off procedures if unable to make a shift.
