HHAs Needed | Personal Care | PT, PRN, Full-Time | Flexible hours
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide exceptional care to clients in Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Medina counties. This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy meaningful one-on-one care, flexible scheduling, and being part of a supportive team that values professional development. We offer a variety of schedules, including 12-hour shifts, 4 to 11-hour shifts, weekday and weekend opportunities, and Part-Time, Full-Time, and PRN positions. Candidates must be willing to work in specified service areas. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide program preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B
- Reliable transportation
- A charged cell phone
- Professional appearance with uniform and ID badge
- Dependable attendance and availability
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide program
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments and errands
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
